Leadership Transition of One Heart Organization
One Heart has established itself as one of the most impactful organizations in Montserrado County, specifically in Paynesville City. Over the years, it has been shaped by the dedication and vision of various leaders and committed individuals who believe in nurturing young minds and transforming their communities, despite the challenges posed by societal norms.
The journey began when the founder shared his vision with key individuals, including Anthony Tibah Blama, Gabriel Kemoh Sumalia, and Dearest Berline Bonor. They embraced the idea wholeheartedly, and together, as a group of motivated youths, they initiated a community cleanup campaign. This grassroots effort quickly blossomed into a larger movement, attracting the involvement of other passionate individuals, such as Sunesther George and Samuel G. Smith, among others. The rapid growth of One Heart garnered positive recognition from local schools, community members, and politicians, signifying its value and potential for positive change.
Gabriel Kemoh Sumalia had the honor of serving as the organization’s first president, under whose leadership the group expanded further by incorporating additional members, including the Sasa family.
John Alieu Sasa eventually succeeded Gabriel, continuing to elevate the organization and enhance its initiatives. Throughout its development, One Heart established several leadership roles, including Secretary, Public Relations Officer, and Treasurer. Samuel G. Smith played a pivotal role as the Public Relations Officer until his departure for the United States. His position was subsequently filled by his brother, Jonathan N. Smith, ensuring continuity in communication and outreach.
Dearest Berline Bonor served as the Vice President, playing an integral role in the organization’s activities and strategic direction. Sunesther George took on the responsibilities of Treasurer/Secretary, contributing significantly to the operational efficiency of One Heart.
Additionally, Christiana Sia N’Tow was appointed as the Secretary General and Public Relations Officer, where she excelled in organizing the group’s efforts and keeping everything in order. Overall, the leadership transitions within One Heart reflect the organization’s resilience and commitment to its mission. Each leader has contributed uniquely to its growth, fostering an environment of teamwork and community engagement that continues to drive the organization forward.
As One Heart moves into the future, it remains dedicated to its vision of empowering young minds and transforming their communities for the better.
